Universal design as a municipal strategy Experience and results from the pilot municipality project 2005-2008
This report summarizes the activities, experiences and results of Norwegian pilot municipalities participating in a national initiative to implement universal design in municipal planning from 2005 to 2008. It presents a common vision, seven unified goals, examples of local measures, and lessons learned about integrating universal design across municipal sectors. The report is intended as guidance and inspiration for other municipalities and stakeholders working to mainstream accessibility and inclusive planning.
