NGOs as Partners in Health Care, Zambia
The aim of this study was to contribute to working out an overall strategy on the helath sector support in Zambia's country programme. In addition, the study focuses on NGOs as a channel for support, and their capacity and competence as implementers in the health sector. The study looks into Norad's criteria for NGO funding, government policy regarding cooperation with NGOs, the 1992 level of NGO activities, how coordination is addressed, and long term sustainablilty of the NGOs efforts.
