Norwegian abatement targets for 2035 : A CGE analysis A CGE analysis
The report examines the costs and macroeconomic impacts on the Norwegian economy of introducing different greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets and target structures for 2035. Using Statistics Norway’s CGE model SNOW-NO, the analysis explores two main policy structures, one focusing solely on domestic abatement and another allowing the purchase of EU ETS allowances. The study highlights differences in costs across scenarios and evaluates social costs under varying revenue recycling methods.
