ECoC Bodø2024: Students settlement intentions and their use of art and culture
This report analyses how BSc business students in Bodø and Nordland relate to art and culture and how this influences their intentions to stay in or leave their home municipalities in the context of ECoC Bodø2024. The study is based on survey data collected in February 2022 and February 2024 and examines attachment, satisfaction, engagement, unmet demand and awareness of the ECoC program. Findings show varied interest in cultural offerings by age, gender and household status, an overall unmet demand for cultural activities, and a mixed impact of ECoC Bodø2024 on students' settlement intentions. The report concludes with alignment to ECoC objectives and recommendations for local and regional policymakers.
