The Mjøsa Assessment A comprehensive review of the current state of knowledge on the Mjøsa Lake System and its surroundings
This assessment compiles and synthesizes existing knowledge on Lake Mjøsa and its surrounding region, covering historical, socio-political, ecological, hydrological and technological perspectives. It summarizes monitoring programs, land-use changes, pollution history, and recent data-collection efforts including digital modelling and remote sensing. The report aims to inform researchers, public authorities, and stakeholders, highlight knowledge gaps, and support coordinated management and planning for sustainability. It is produced as an interdisciplinary resource modeled on large-scale environmental assessments and is available in both Norwegian and English.
