VKM Bulletin 2025: Assessment of genetically modified soybean DBN9004 for food and feed uses, import and processing under Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 (application EFSA-GMO-BE-2019-165) Scientific Opinion of the Panel on genetically modified organisms

This scientific opinion assesses the genetically modified soybean DBN9004 (application EFSA-GMO-BE-2019-165), which contains the transgenes cp4 epsps and pat conferring tolerance to glyphosate- and glufosinate-based herbicides. VKM reviewed the applicant's dossier and EFSA's scientific opinion and found the documentation adequate for risk assessment in accordance with EFSA guidance. VKM concluded that the introduced modifications do not imply potential specific health or environmental risks for Norway compared to EU countries. As no Norway-specific issues were identified, VKM did not conduct a full national risk assessment.
