The Norwegian Government’s High North Strategy
This strategy sets out the Government's priorities and framework for action in the High North, aiming to promote sustainable growth, secure resource management and strengthen presence, activity and knowledge in the region. It emphasises international cooperation (notably with Russia), research and education, environmental protection, responsible petroleum development, fisheries management and improved infrastructure and emergency preparedness. The document outlines measures to improve living conditions, mobilise national resources and engage regional and international partners in long-term development.
