The Norwegian Government’s Plan of Action to Combat Human Trafficking [2006–2009] Stop Human Trafficking
This multi-year government plan (2006–2009) sets out comprehensive measures to prevent and combat human trafficking nationally and internationally. It focuses on limiting recruitment and demand, ensuring assistance and protection for victims, special follow-up for child victims, exposing and prosecuting traffickers, improving knowledge and inter-disciplinary cooperation, and strengthening the international framework. The plan emphasises trafficking for sexual exploitation while also addressing forced labour and organ trafficking, combining continued initiatives and several new measures. Coordination responsibility is assigned to the Ministry of Justice and the Police.
