Kartlegging av lagerkapasitet for storfegjødsel og aktuelle stader for etablering av biogassanlegg i Hordaland
In county Hordaland, a sample survey among dairy farmers keeping more than 15 dairy cows, was accomplished autumn 2015 to examine the storage capacity and utilization of manure. The survey revealed that 39% of the farmers have less than 8 months storage capacity. If storage rooms are rented, lack of capacity is estimated to 6400 m3 to a cost of 5.3 MNOK. Only 11% has 10 or more months storage capacity. If the government in the future demands 10 months capacity, 58% of the farmers want to invest to adjust to new regulations. The investment is calculated to 32000 m3 and 27 MNOK. Moving manure spreading from autumn to growing season will reduce runoff of nutrients, use of mineral fertilizer and green house gas emissions. Amount of organic dry matter from cattle manure is estimated and places for further investigation for establishment of biogas plants in Hordaland are suggested.
