Nordic Media Literacy Survey
This report presents the findings from the Nordic Media Literacy Survey conducted in 2025, a joint initiative by the media authorities of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers. The survey assessed media literacy among adults (16+) and children/youths (9–15) across critical dimensions such as media understanding, digital safety, critical thinking, content creation, and interaction with AI. The survey uncovered insights into media consumption habits, trust in media, comprehension of journalistic ethics, online safety practices, and attitudes towards AI. The findings aim to inform policy development, raise awareness, and support efforts to enhance digital resilience and democratic participation in the Nordic region.
