Evaluation of Decentralisation and Development
In 1993 the OECD/DAC Group on Evaluation initiated a project to Evaluation of Programs Promoting Participatory Development and Good Governance (PD&GG). A PD&GG Steering Committee was established in the same year to guide the work. Five topics were selected for evaluation; legal systems; public sector management; decentralisation; human rights; and participation. Norway volunteered to be responsible for evaluation of the theme decentralisation.
