Transforming the Energy Mix
Achieving the European Union's 2050 carbon neutrality goal requires a profound transformation of energy systems. This report examines the deep structural shifts in national energy systems, technological and industrial challenges, and issues of social acceptability related to the energy transition. It synthesizes policy approaches for reconfiguring energy mixes, evaluates technological impacts, and addresses public acceptance challenges. It represents the joint effort of EPTA network members and contributes perspectives from nations worldwide.
