Research Strategy for the Foreign Service and Norad 2017–2024 Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
This strategy sets out objectives, principles, priority areas and instruments for research and development led by the Norwegian Foreign Service and Norad for 2017–2024. It aims to strengthen research capacity in Norway and in developing countries, improve the use of research in foreign, security and development policy, and promote international cooperation and effective communication of results. Priority areas include security policy (the Arctic and Russia), Asia, Europe and development and aid. The strategy also addresses funding channels, coordination, ethics and a long-term perspective for R&D investments.
