Studie
Automatic section speed control Evaluation Results
Automatic speed cameras measure average driving speed between two camera boxes. In 2009 automatic section speed controll trials were conducted at three sites in Norway. The results show that the average driving speed can be reduced by up to 10% (from approx. 90 km/h to 80 km/h). This effect is dependent on the speed before the average speed cameras were installed.
