T-1468 ENG/SPA Diseño universal Clarification of the concept
Universal design thinking has become widely recognised and applied in Norwegian political documents, statutory framework and technical guidelines. The concept of universal design has played a constructive role in developing the understanding of good functionality for all as a beneficial feature of society, and for promoting equality and adequate accessibility for persons with functional impairments. This report defines and clarifies the concept of universal design, thereby establishing a common basis for the application of this strategy in Norwegian public documents; for theoretical, methodological and practical development; and for use in information material.
