Smart Water flooding: Part 2 : important input parameters for modeling and upscaling workflow
This report provides guidelines for conducting numerical investigations of the physicochemical effects of Smart Water flooding at different length scales. It describes how three simulation tools developed by The National IOR Centre of Norway can be used to study Smart Water effects. The focus is on chemical upscaling and its implications for reservoir performance. Key questions include the longevity of Smart Water effects, the impact of reservoir temperature, and the significance of core-scale mechanisms for oil release. The study spans pore-, core-, and reservoir-scales to address these questions.
