Evaluation of Norwegian efforts for women, peace and security Report 3/2022
This report evaluates Norwegian efforts to promote women’s participation in peace processes and peacebuilding, covering the period 2000–2020. It assesses coherence, effectiveness, funding patterns, partner roles, learning and impact, and examines Norway's national action plans and portfolio of support. Key findings note positive contributions to gender perspectives in peace agreements and civil society strengthening, but limited strategic coordination, uneven use of the WPS priority country list, and gaps in monitoring and risk management. The report concludes with recommendations to improve strategy, resource allocation, monitoring and organisational learning.
