Joint AI plan for the safe and effective use of AI in the Norwegian health and care services 2024 - 2025
This joint plan for 2024–2025 sets out coordinated measures to enable the safe and effective adoption of artificial intelligence in Norwegian health and care services. It outlines governance arrangements (including an AI council), cross-agency guidance, regulatory preparedness for EU initiatives, frameworks for validation and quality assurance, guidance on large language models, and measures to strengthen competence. The plan prioritises support for municipalities and regional health authorities, involvement of patients and professionals, and European cooperation. Measures will be regularly prioritised and adapted to technological developments.
