This report contains a description and preliminary assessment of the course in terms of its satisfying, its intended objectives, and the wider aims of Norwegian aid. Further an outline of alternative training available in East Africa and elsewhere. Finally, it contains a review of documentation already available regarding the need for training in soil science in East Africa.
