Action Plan for Women’s Rights and Gender Equality in Development Cooperation 2007–2009 (extended for the period 2010–2013)
This action plan sets out Norway's priorities and measures to promote women’s rights and gender equality in development cooperation. It identifies four thematic priority areas: women's political empowerment, women's economic empowerment, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and violence against women. The plan mandates mainstreaming of gender perspectives across development sectors and outlines channels for implementation, accountability and knowledge generation. It covers the original period 2007–2009 and is extended to 2010–2013.
